I am a multidisciplinary artist interested in socially-engaged practices, and whose works oscillates around themes of belonging, nostalgia, identity, and community. I was born and raised in Venezuela, a country rich in multiculturalism due to its tortuous history, which I moved out of in 2016 as a result of its economic and political turmoil. My work reflects on how historical events have shaped people and their culture; opening opportunities of dialogue about the complexities of cultural exchange, personal journeys, and the ever-evolving definition of home.
