Clogs as Intangible Heritage

Research on clogs, clog making and clogdancing as Intangible Heritage. While on a residency at The Whitaker Museum and Art Gallery, I developed an interest in English Clogs, their history, their making, and ways in which their use shaped communities. Finding that clog making is an endangered craft in the UK, I decided to meet Master Clogmaker, Jeremy Atkinson, whom guided me through the process of making a pair of clogs. I then started a body of work based on this experience, and the conversations had in between.
